It all begins with a story…

Our executive chef’s story started alongside his father as he cooked meals for his family. He looked up eagerly at his every move, mimicking a pinch of salt here, a sprinkle of herbs there, and whirling of salsas everywhere. The feeling of happiness overpowered him as he helped create edible art on a nightly basis. The thoughtful care and balance of different tastes captivated Chef Oscar Torres, and at an early age, he knew he had to share how he felt with the world. After his passion landed him a scholarship, 10 years of evolution still has him yearning to recreate that feeling with his father through Angeleno Cuisine.

Angeleno Cuisine is less of a classification and more of a way of thought. With Chef’s parents being born in Guadalajara and he here, Chef Oscar Torres explains how his multicultural upbringing shaped this term. “It’s a non-barrier type of cuisine; no boundaries, free-spoken, artistic, it’s what LA is all about. It allows you to share your roots and try other people’s roots; with traveling you draw inspirations, you immediately try to make recreate them, then you interpret it as your own, that’s Angeleno Cuisine.”

In the city of angels, we have access to the most beautiful produce on a weekly basis, in this section, we try to capture these freshly picked ingredients and are steadfast in showcasing the final product to the world. This is how our cuisine story begins this is Angelino Cuisine…
